Audra Post CPM

I have been involved in the birth community since 2006. I volunteered as a postpartum doula while I completed on my didactic studies through Michigan School of Traditional Midwifery.  In 2008, I began my clinical apprenticeship at the Greenhouse Birth Center. While there, I was lucky to interact with a wide array of clientele, and experience many different pregnancy, birth and postpartum variations. In 2010, I graduated from my apprenticeship and completed my examinations to become a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), which is regulated by the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM). From there, I continued to work at the Greenhouse Birth Center as a full time midwife until 2012. In 2013 I decided to enroll at Midwives College of Utah. Where, in 2015, I complete a Bachelors of Science in Midwifery. That year, I was honored to be accepted on as teaching staff at MCU, where I continue to teach.

I respect midwifery as a tool of assistance not only for the birth, but also for the transformation into becoming a parent. I value the holistic approach of the childbearing process, viewing it as a physical and emotional metamorphosis, which is unique to the individual. I have an ingrained sense of awe for the enormity of the natural processes of pregnancy and birth. For which, I am deeply honored to have been involved with over 300 births through the years.
My heart is filled with passion of social well-being and service, which I feel has greatly influenced the type of midwife I am. I grew up volunteering with The Food Bank, Habitat, hospitals, women's shelters, AmeriCorps NCCC, and the Listening Ear Crisis Center, where I continue to help with their trainings. I am blessed with loving and support from family and friends, with whom I enjoy cooking and baking, walking with my dogs, going for bike rides, practicing yoga, and having bon-fires.

Birth Assistants (I strive to have at least two trained people at every birth)
